Travelling by car

The easiest way to get to Alfriston is by car. If travelling south, and taking the A27 look out for the signs at the new roundabout to Alfriston on Alfriston Rd (also sign-posted for Drusillas Zoo).

For the Ceremony, it is best to leave your car at your hotel or accommodation and make the short walk to The Old Chapel, there is very limited local parking on the weekend.

You will find The Old Chapel just off Alfriston High Street - look our for the bright blue door entrance along the pedestrian passage from the High Street to the Tye (local language for the green or park!). Please note, we are not getting married at the larger and more visible Church of St Andrews on the hill of the Tye.

After the ceremony, we recommend you take the shuttle bus provided, however if you want to drive to Rathfinny Wine Estate (Flint Barns), you should head south out of Alfriston along Alfriston Road/White Way, passing Deans Place Hotel on your left and then Riverdale House B & B on your right. About 50 metres after Riverdale House, the entrance to Rathfinny is well sign-posted on your right.

For the Flint Barns, keep taking the road beyond the Winery, driving through two large buildings named Bottling and Cellar. Continue along the track for another half mile until a left hand bend and you will see the Flint Barns with a red roof.

* Reminder, we have arranged for buses to transport you from The Old Chapel to Rathfinny Wine Estate (Flint Barns) and have also organised a shuttle service in the evening to return you to your accommodation.
